Following two successive promotions in back-to-back seasons, our church football team found themselves in the top division of the Strathclyde Evangelical Churches League.  Despite two losses in the opening two games Houston have enjoyed an undefeated run of 10 matches (including 8 victories) which sees them sit proudly in 2nd place in the league at the midway point of the season.  Off the park things are going well too as the team are delighted to be the grateful beneficiaries of a generous sponsorship deal with "The Weir" Restaurant and Bar, Bridge of Weir which helps the team to cover the costs of a new set of strips and training equipment.  For more details please see www.houstonkirk.org (under "organisations") or visit www.churchesleague.com.
