GIFT SERVICE  Sunday 6 th December 2015

Matthew 25 v 37 -40

' lord - when did we see you hungry and feed you... when did we see you needing clothes and clothe you...when did we see you in prison and help you?'

We would ask your help in donating to the work of Crossreach ( previously known as the Church of Scotland's Board of Social Responsibility). Crossreach continues the Kirk's long standing tradition of providing care and support for some of the most vulnerable people in Scotland.

Our gifts will go a long way in helping  children whose parents are in prison by enabling Crossreach staff to work in family centres in Perth, Glasgow and Edinburgh and to give some of the youngsters gifts at Christmas time.

We asked what would be particularly useful and listed below are some ideas which you may find useful. We are asked for nothing too bulky or heavy as many families travel by public transport. They deal mainly with babies, boys and girls between 0 -12 years.

Colouring books, pens and pencils; age appropriate books/annuals; Peppa Pig/Thomas Tank/Disney/frozen figurines; action hero figurines; shape shorters; trucks, cars, dolls; play doh and craft materials; games; selection boxes.

As Jesus said ' I tell you the truth, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers of mine, you did for me'.

Thank you for your generosity.
