Guides are between the age of ten and 14.Being a Guide is about belonging to a group, learning new skills, making new friends and helping others.
In Houston and Crosslee there are 2 Guide units, which meet on a Tuesday and Wednesday.

Houston & Crosslee Brownies and Guides.
Over half a million girls and women celebrated the end of Girlguiding UK's Centenary on 20 October 2010 at 8:10pm .
Houston Guides and Brownies attended a special party at Linwood Sports centre where 500 Brownies and Guides took part in singing, dancing, zumba and having fun, with everyone taking their Promise at 20.10 ,20.10 .2010.
The aim of Vision was to bring all members of Girlguiding UK together to share one moment in time. A time for reflection on the fun of the Centenary year, what the Promise means to each of us, and to explore our hopes and dreams for the future.
Here in Houston we hope to continue the excitement of the Centenary year with lots more fun for the girls. We have 2 Guide Companies and 4 Brownie Packs, with many Senior Girls taking part in the Duke of Edinburgh Award.
We shall be taking in new brownies in September. If you wish to join or find out more about Guides or Brownies – contact Helen Dunn – 01505 614266. Volunteer adults always welcome too.
