We are all very excited to be learning new songs and words for this years Nativity Play, “Born in a Barn”, to be presented on the 20th December at church. This year the Nativity story is told by all the animals and birds in the barn as they look back on all the exciting visitors they have had to their small barn. Please come along to church to see us all celebrate the Christmas story.
Although the 30th November is now a school holiday we would appreciate it if the children could still come to Sunday Club on the 29th as usual as we have a lot of rehearsing to do!
For the Gift Service this year on the 6th December the Sunday Club have been asked if they would give gifts of small selection boxes for the families that are supported by Glasgow City Mission.
And finally, the Sunday Club Christmas party will be held from 11am till 1pm on the 5th December at the church halls. The usual fun and games will be enjoyed, along with a visit from our very special guest…Ho Ho Ho!!
Please call me on 612108 if you have any questions / comments, or see me at SC.
Thanks
Fiona (612108)
Family services – dates will be circulated at a later point. We will stop at 10.30 when there’s a family service to give us all time to get there!
We have a notice board in the hall to the right as you come in the hall, all letters and any information about family services will be posted there along with articles in the Kirk Record or on line at www.houstonkirk.org.
We are now collecting our loose change for our Missionary partners in Mwandi to help feed babies in their village. Pringles tubs have been given out, once your children have enjoyed the contents of the tubs we are encouraging them to bring them back every week with loose change in them. We are very grateful for your supports in this as we encourage the children to learn about the importance of helping others less fortunate than themselves.
Fire register – to comply with Fire Regulations all children must be signed in and out of S.C.
If you have any questions please come and see me on Sunday or call me.
Thank you. Fiona 612108
